Mazzy Star’s “Fade Into You” isn’t a song lacking in any covers, although that didn’t stop country musician Jackson Kayne from taking a stab at it.
Glad he did, as his version takes the fabric of the original and gives it a spin of its own that presents it in a refreshing light in the world of alt-country and Americana. There’s a heartfelt Western nature to the track with a grittiness that sees him harness the classic track into something very much of his own.
