Tulip is a Boston-based indie rock band who have recently shared their single “Don’t Try”, which is actually the first song they wrote together, “in a non-airconditioned 100 degree room.”
For a debut song it’s well accomplished and feels like it’s from a band that’s been making music together for years. A lush blend of dream pop and bedroom pop, that has a charming presence to it. Just when you think you know where it’s going, it expands its wings with some epic guitar solos and a stunning finale.
