Side Saddle, the project of New Yorker Ian McGuinness will return with their brand new EP Waltermelon on September 7 via Cedar Lodge Records and has given us our first taste of the new release with brand new single “Ink & Dirty Strings.”
The band channel same late 90s and early 2000s power-pop perfection on the track, which hits hard with its power-pop riffs and an addictive chorus that feels like a cross between Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, classic Weezer, and Fountains of Wayne. It’s a pitch-perfect listen to blare with the windows down and you cruise down the highway this summer.
