Toronto punk rockers PUP returned with their third album Morbid Stuff on April 5th via Rise Records/Little Dipper. They’re currently on tour in support of the record, which included a sold out stop at Brooklyn Steel on April 26th along with opening performances from both Diet Cig and Ratboys.
This was my first time seeing PUP since they rocked out with Thursday at McCarren Park as a part of the Northside Festival in 2017. The band always deliver a performance that is every much as tightly performed as it is loose enough to keep things fresh and exciting in the fashion that all good punk shows should be. Their new record is as lively and awesome as their previous two, while also showing levels of growth that translates into their live show.
