On November 25th Danish punk rockers Iceage kicked off their 2-night stay in Brooklyn with a performance at Music Hall of Williamsburg. The show came in continuation of their tour in support of their typically solid new album Beyondless, which Matador Records released back in May. We caught them at Bowery Ballroom only a few weeks after the record’s release.
This was a typically fiery performance from the band who have this slow burn nature to their shows, while the intensity and mood is there from the minute that frontman Elias Bender Rønnenfelt takes the stage, the band slowly but surely locked in sync with the audience every step of the way, with the show getting better and better with every song. Hanging up front at this show was definitely a good cure for the food coma/hangover that many attendees, including myself, were suffering from on this Thanksgiving weekend.
