Intertwine is a Norwegian band originally formed by Tarjei Ekelund and soon grew into a three-piece including members Aleksander Berg and Ruben Nesse. They released their debut album Goraikoo in 2015 and this summer returned with their first new song, the perfect summer anthem that is “Tokyo.”
The song straddles the line of accessible pop and melancholic 80s electronic and synth elements that remind of acts like m83. “Tokyo” sounds like an easy breezy day spinning down the highway going 80 mph with your best friends in tow. It’s an anthem.
