Cat Nickless is London-based singer-songwriter who released her new album Vacant & Bright via Round Table Records this March. She was inspired by her time studying in New York and based these scenic memories to create her series of subjects of songs for the album.
Take “Summertime,” with the iconic Coney Island Wonder Wheel setting the scene for a lovely a track about a nostalgic ode to summer love. It has this shimmering folk rock quality to it that only gets better as it goes along, all leading up to one big guitar moment that really elevates the whole thing to a really nice next level.
