Fazerdaze, the project of New Zealand-based musician Amelia Murray, released her dreamy debut album Morningside last year via Flying Nun Records. She’s continued touring a bit in support of the record in the early parts of this year, including a big booking at Coachella.
Prior to flying out for the first weekend of the festival, she stopped into New York for a performance at Bowery Ballroom, her largest headlining show here to date. Murray and her band so effortlessly recreated the 90s-inspired dream-pop and shoegaze tracks that hooked us in on Morningside, giving us a fun and high-energy performance that had me smiling the whole way through.
