I first saw Canadian indie rockers Born Ruffians play a decade ago when they opened up for Vampire Weekend at a free Central Park Summerstage that seems more ridiculous the more years we are removed from it. Since then , Born Ruffians have released four new album, growing their stock along the way, even with a few changes in their lineup (we last caught them in 2013 at Bowery Ballroom).

Earlier this year the band released new album Uncle, Duke & The Chief via Paper Bag Records and embarked on a tour in support of it which brought them back to New York for a performance at Music Hall of Williamsburg.

It was quite amazing to see how passionate the crowd reacted to each of the bands bouncy and playful indie rockers, singing along with an estatic enthusiasm that proves just how far the guys have come in the past ten years.

Find some shots from their performance posted in the gallery below.
