When 80’s legends Tears For Fears were announced as one of the headliners of Bonnaroo this summer, I was jealous. I didn’t think we’d get a show from them anytime soon in New York, and they were one of those bands I never even considered being possible to see live. Thankfully they brought their comeback tour to New York for a performance at Port Chester’s historic Capitol Theatre.
It was an unforgettable night of nostalgia-drunk sing-alongs of 80’s favorites such as “Mad World,” “Everbody Wants To Rule The World,” and “Shout.” The duo of Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith looked and sounded great, fully fueled by the energetic crowd, who completely lost themselves for a good two hours straight.
Find photos from their performance below, along with opener Carina Round, who also sang with Tears For Fears.
