There are certain bands that I have to see when they come to New York, no matter how many times I may have seen them already. The likes of Arctic Monkeys, The National, Ty Segall, Thee Oh Sees all comes to mind. You can add King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard to the list as well. Over the past year or so I’ve seen the Australian garage rockers more time than I can count, simply because they have a seemingly never-ending output of new records for us. As much as I get to see them, I’m simply not complaining.
Their US tour came to a wind down when they stopped in to Brooklyn for a rowdy as usual performance at Music Hall of Williamsburg on September 16. They’ll be back sometime in 2016, but for now, enjoy some shots from their performance here, along with openers Michael Rault and EZTV.
