Australian singer Michael Cullen released his new album True Believer just this October.
Back in the 80s Cullen played in a number of post punk bands in Sydney in the 1980s and 1990s including No Man’s Land, The Hardheads and Watershed.
He plays old semi-acoustic guitars and makes his music with tape machines, tube microphones and other analogue equipment. Which makes sense when you listen to the retro sounds that he shared with the world on the new record. He knows a thing or two about songcraft.
Below, get a taste of the record with album track “Nothing Special,” a song which finds Cullen hit his stride with a song packed with classic grooves and melodies that find a way to get stuck in your head.
