There’s nothing like finding a young act that wows you on the spot. You can feel the excitement that they felt when they recorded the demos. It’s a feeling that’s hard to describe, but most of you guys know exactly what I mean.
This is what happened when I discovered The Calypso, an incredible new band from Sweden. We All Want Someone reader Hannah Lou tipped me off about them and I instantly understood why she wanted us to hear them. They’re everything guitar rock should aim be.
They craft youthful songs that shine with clean cut guitars and chilled vocals, creating a signature Swedish sound. The Calypso’s sound is just overwhelmingly positive. I don’t see how someone can’t adore what these guys are doing. These are only their demos too. Quite a way to introduce yourself.
The Calypso’s music will make your wait for spring a little less painful. Seriously:
