I remember catching Loch Lomond open for The Decemberists at Cornell way back in my freshmen year here at Bing. They had some really lovely harmonies, but I never really followed them after. Just got news that they are releasing a new album in 2011 called Little Me Will Start A Storm. It will be released on February 22nd, via Tender Loving Empire.
The band’s giving away the albums first single “”Elephants & Little Girls” for free download. It’s an absolute beauty. It’s arranged to perfection with lovely harmonies that are bound to do well with this ever changing cold weather. I could try to use many sophisticated adjectives to describe their sound, but warm and beautiful are as proper as ever in a description of “Elephants & Little Girls”. People often describe Loch Lomond as “symphonic chamber pop” but they are much more than that.
