Deerhoof are back with their followup to 2008’s Offend Maggie. Their new album, Deerhoof vs. Evil is coming out next year on January 25th via Polyvinyl (while Joyful Noise will handle the limited run of cassette tapes).
You can stream album track “The Merry Barracks” below right now. It’s a song that the band self-recorded, just like the rest of the album. The band plays off each others strengths to create a quirky rocker full of tight riffs and unusual rhythms. In other words, it’s very Deerhoof.
