Panda Bear is getting ready to give us some new music. As I previously reported, Panda Bear is releasing a series of limited edition singles. Each single will get released on a different label, and it will only be pressed once. The first single is “Tomboy”, which also happens to be the name of his upcoming new full length. The 7″ single of “Tomboy” will be released on Animal Collective label Pawtracks, on 7/12. It is backed by b-side “Slow Motion”. You can pre-order it now from insound.
Panda Bear played a new song during his set at Primavera Sound. No title on it yet. Don’t believe it’s either of the songs on the 7″, but you never know. It’s a 10 minute epic jam that has no boundaries or limits. It’s going to be a stoner’s best friend pretty soon. It’s dark, but it starts heading towards the light as the song progresses. Mind. Blown.
