Joey Gardiner is a singer-songwriting from the United Kingdom who recently shared his single “Calling.”
The track capture the feeling of meeting that special someone and the passion of that newfound love and the effect that it has on you. It’s captured through the tracks blend of pop and rock that has an anthemic and rousing build up that mirrors the ever-growing emotions of the experience of finding that special someone.
Speaking on the track, Gardiner adds:
Calling is all about when I first met the girl, like she felt like the still point of the turning world. When I first met her she was about to go travelling, so I called her as much and as often as I could each day to keep in contact. Even when she was across the other side of the world, I still called and we’d have the greatest of times.
Maybe I’d call excessively, I don’t know but I made sure she knew I was really into her and that was my way of showing it.
Calling is all about that period, when in a way I was so dependent on someone, or how that person made me feel, just to later on realise that person wasn’t the person I believed they were.
