Italian indie rockers VOV VOV! released their debut EP, Sunbathing in a Magnetic Field, last month via Factory Flaws. They caught our attention with a handful of their pre-release singles, which also are the opening three tracks from the EP.
Opening cut “Nancy’s Track” has traces of French pop and indie rock in the vein of Stereolab, with a hypnotic psych-leaning sense of indie rock with a dreamy quality about it.
Then there’s “Night Ride” a track that turns back the clock to some classic 60s music, with a surfy take of krautrock with a hypnotic spell-like quality to it that is sneaky in its delivery of its infectious hooks.
“Dialogue Between Two Silly Thinkers” is a charming slice of indie rock with a more 90s quality to it, that has a slightly more straight-forward approach, wonderfully blended with sounds of idealistic summer hangout moments that feel like a distant memory that you have forgotten.
