Rival Consoles, the project of London-based producer Ryan Lee West, is gearing up for the release of new album, Landscape from Memory, which be released on July 4th via Erased Tapes.

Ahead of its release he’s shared a handful of singles, including “Known Shape.” It’s a blend of hypnotic ebats and rhythms that have an icy sonic build with some gorgeous production that summons the listening into a heightened sense of being.

Or as he puts it:

“I’ve always been obsessed by controls on machines because they produce beautiful sounds and they have their own rhythms. The drums are made from rotating switches and the synths are set in motion by invisible mechanical rhythms. Machines have a special connection to the human spirit, which is both good and bad but above all restless. There is a constant searching in ‘Known Shape’ for some kind of answer or emotion.”

Enjoy a listen below along with another great single in “Catherine”, which is equally as transfixing. The album is also available to pre-order on Bandcamp.
