Chloe Foy is a Singer/Songwriter from Gloucestershire, UK, who will return with new album, Fool, via Demeter Records.
Ahead of its release Foy shared single “Blinkers”, described as a “tongue-in-cheek takedown of her past relationship, written while grappling with depression.”
The track features a new dimension to Foy’s folk-themed sound, packing a heftier bit of a garage rock punch and angst that reminds of some of the earlier work of Angel Olsen and Julia Jacklin.
Speaking on the single, Foy adds:
“Blinkers’ is my way of finally letting out the frustration that had been building up. It’s a raw, unapologetic reflection of a time when I felt misunderstood. It’s about the need for honest communication, and the catharsis that comes with expressing what’s been held inside for too long. Working with Dave Izumi at Echo Zoo Studios helped shape the track’s raw, rock-infused sound, which is a departure from my usual style. It’s especially personal, as it was produced by the ex-partner I wrote the song about—making the whole experience both challenging and cathartic”.
