Back in 2021 we were swept off our feet by London-based indie rockers The U Club and their single “Wanna Hear?”
They’re gearing up to release their debut EP, Eyes Shut Twice, and have given us a taste with their equally measured and winning single “Nobody’s Enemy.” It’s a sweet and tender indie rock offering that has a warm 90’s influence to it, that has traces of artists like The Beths, Ratboys, and Indigo De Souza, with an emotional current that swells and builds to a therapeutic climatic release.
As the band describes it:
“It is about the self-sabotaging tendency of wanting to be liked by someone so much that you find yourself being blindly supportive of them, and blindly critical of others – so you’ll be faultless in their memory.”
