Katherine Paterson is a singer-songwriter based in Dallas, Texas who recently released her new album, Wake.
One of the standouts from the record is single “Ms. Clavel”, a poignant and delicate slice of folk rock with a classic appeal. There’s a gentle and heartbreaking nature enhanced by lush strings.
Speaking on the meaning of the track, she adds:
This song is about growing up and how we treat the planet. It’s sort of my version of “Big Yellow Taxi.” I wrote it on one of many walks during the worst of the pandemic.
