I Wish I Was A Punk Band is the project of Seattle-based multi-instrumentalist Phil Hamilton.
He’s recently released his new EP, The World in Which We Already Live, which features gorgeous offerings such as single, “Sanguine.”
It features a powerhouse anthemic folk sound with depth and a huge cinematic sense of wonder that leaves a lingering lasting impression.
Speaking on the track, Hamilton details:
The single, Sanguine, was written from the perspective after the end of a long-term relationship and recounts the first meeting of a now ex-partner. It explores the hopefulness and meandering of that first date while holding true that the relationship would eventually end
