Danish singer and songwriter Signe Vange has recently shared single “Canada”, the second single shared from her upcoming EP, Dinosaur.
It’s an enchanting blend of chamber pop and folk with a lush dreamy nature, that has an ethereal cinematic quality to it. There are elements of artists such as Julia Holter, Angel Olsen, and something completely of its own here.
Speaking on the creation of “Canada” they add:
I finished it earlier this year and then took it to the studio with a group of Denmarks best musicians. We had the most interesting journey with this song. The drummer got the idea of leaving out the drums in the “after-chorus” which is such a random choice, but the void ended up inspiring the entire soundscape of vocals, the lively base and layers of synth. Listening now, I envision this oldschool cartoon Disney princess walking through a forest while waving at all the little animals she passes, maybe she’ll wave at you too?
