Deer Tick brought their trademark raucous behavior to Warsaw this Wednesday night, like only a merry band of New Englanders can—complete with a cooler of Miller Lite on stage in plain view.

McCauley and crew ripped through songs from their newest release, Emotional Contracts, as well as crowd favorites from their sixteen years of back catalog—humorously commenting that they weren’t even kicking off the gig with much of the new stuff at all.

The band was at top form, and the crowd partied like it was a weekend (or, again, any night in New England), double and triple-fisting and singing along with originals and covers of “La Bamba” and “Dancing in the Dark.”

Abby Hamilton opened and captivated the crowd, with her booming voice, humor, and vibrating basslines—and we hope to see her back real soon on her own headlining gig.
