Fleur bleu·e is a French dream pop duo who recently released their debut album, Unrequited Love.

“L’été ivre” is a slice of romantic leaning dream pop with a timeless feeling to its construction. The song is about “returning home for the summer after a long absence.”

It captures a passionate feeling of melancholy that reminds of some of the best of the genre, including Beach House and Slowdive.

Speaking on the track the band adds:

Delphine wrote the song after a row with her family to mock intergenerational conflicts. With its baroque music-hall vibe and jangle production, “L’été ivre” is about returning home for the summer after a long absence. It comes with an MV shot by the duo as a postcard during a trip to Mauritius this shimmer to visit Delphine’s family after 10 years away.
