As if the sheer fact that The National’s Homecoming festival was returning this year wasn’t good enough news, today the band made it that much better. They will play their beloved albums High Violet and Trouble Will Find Me in full. Not to mention plenty of other classic songs and rarities from their discography.
The festival, which takes place on September 15-16 at Smale Park, will also feature sets from Patti Smith, Pavement, The Walkmen, Weyes Blood, Snail Mail, and Julia Jacklin.
The National are honoring that High Violet was meant to be the centerpiece of the band’s Homecoming 2020 performance before the festival was canceled due to the COVID pandemic. And with this year soemhow being the 10th anniversary of Trouble Will Find Me, the band felt right to make it a joint celebration.
Tickets for the festival are on sale now right here.
