Norway-based indie-pop-psych band The High Water Marks will return with their new album Your Next Wolf is scheduled for release via the Chicago-based label Minty Fresh on June 9th.

They have since returned with the wicked good “Trouble From The East,” a song about “basically about chilling the fuck out.”

Like the previously shared single “Fantastic Machine” the track harnesses all the best elements of charming 90s power pop and jangle pop, in all the ways you’d expect from a band involving Hilarie Sidney, the co-founder of iconic Elephant 6 Recording Co.

The band has also recently returned with the very New Pornographers-sounding power pop anthem “An Imposed Exile” which features sugary vocals, tight guitar riffs, and an infectious presence that simply soars.

Enjoy a listen to “Trouble From The East” and “An Imposed Exile” now below.
