New York singer-songwriter Kierst returned last year with her new EP, Thud, featuring tracks such as the previously shared “How To Be”.

“Phone Call” is another standout from the EP, which has some of the powerhouse emotive folk elements of acts like Sharon Van Etten and Angel Olsen. Sweeping strings compliment her lovely vocals and anthemic qualities that reach deep into your soul.

Speaking on the song, Kierst adds:

“I think it’s important to know how to sit with yourself, and not depend so much on romantic fulfillment. You can only be as good to someone else as you can be to yourself, and the song’s about knowing when to respect that”.
