Mark Mulcahy is a man that needs to introduction, with his notable work as Miracle Legion and Polaris, but even still, he wouldn’t have been my first guess to do a cover of Fred Rogers’ “Won’t You Be My Neighbor”, you know, the Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood theme song.
But Perpetual Doom had other thoughts, having him cover the infamous theme for the second season of their Stay Tuned TV theme cover series. He gives the track a totally new reimagination with a slightly more eerie and sinister atmospheric take that almost could have been the “The Wondrous Boat Ride” from Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory of the Mr. Rogers universe.
