The National have returned with their brand new single ”Weird Goodbyes”, which features Bon Iver on vocals and features strings by the London Contemporary Orchestra as orchestrated by The National’s Bryce Dessner.
No official word on any new album yet but any new music from our favorite sad dads is always welcome
The song is one of the new tracks they have been showcases on their current tour, a song that frontman Matt Berninger describes as about “letting go of the past and moving on, then later being overwhelmed by second thoughts.”
It’s an assured combination of both acts’ powers with a bit of a blend of their previous collaborations with Justin Vernon as well as elements of their two most recently releases a bit of the past, a bit of the present, and future
