Brooklyn’s TOLEDO has released their new EP Jockeys of Love and has put all of the songwriting promise that they have showcased over the past few years into full effect.
We are going to be focusing on a few of the highlights from the EP, including the dreamy “Sunday Funday.” The track somehow manages to capture that feeling of a lazy Sunday, perfectly well spent with some melancholic guitar lines and lush vocals.
But more specfically, find the band’s description of the meaning behind the song below:
“Sunday Funday” is about being there for someone, despite being in over your head. Specifically, the song deals with alcoholism in a family and the discomfort that comes with navigating around it.
