New York’s very own High Waisted are preparing for the release of the fourth installment of their psychedelic mixtape series ‘Acid Tapes’ and While the first tape saw the band record while they were on acid all in one go at a haunted house in Nashville, they have since found a more deliberate and articulate recording process that saw them bunker up at a studio in Bedstuy built by the band’s very own Jono Bernstien and Stephen Nielsen and saw them mix digital and analog gear with vintage instruments to create some dreamy magic.
The band will celebrate the release of the new Tape with a show at Mercury Lounge this Friday that will also feature support from Yella Belly and Songs for Sabotage. You can find the Facebook RSVP here and buy tickets now right here. I’ve also included a stream of Acid Tapes Vol 4 which you can listen to below and purchase here.
