Tonight Arcade Fire began their 3-night jaunt at Barclays Center. I got photos and a review of the show coming tomorrow. It was a powerful and memorable performance, as usual.
On The Reflektor tour they have been covering songs of a locally affiliated band at each show. For their first NYC regional cover of the weekend, they did Buster Poindexter’s (The New York Dolls’ David Johansen) “Hot Hot Hot.” This came after The Reflektors (big heads) rocked out New York Dolls’ “Personality Crisis.”
They also worked in a very brief cover of LCD Soundsystem’s “All My Friends” that went right into “Keep The Car Running.” It was all but a tease. Hopefully we get a full LCD Cover later this weekend.
