It’s only appropriate that Parquet Courts have released a black and white video for “Black and White” the stunning punk-anthem off their new album Sunbathing Animal, which was released today via What’s Your Rupture?/Mom + Pop.
The video was co-directed by the band’s Austin Brown along with Johann Rashid. It was shot in Bed Stuy, home of frontman Andrew Savage. The video was inspired by the experimental films of William Burroughs and Brion Gysin and meant to “represent the depth and complexity of the personal stories which exist in a simple city stroll.”
