Seth MacFarlane’s new film A Million Ways To Die In The West gets a glorious 3-minute red band trailer that shows us all the goods that the film has instore for us.
MacFarlane wrote (along with Wellesley Wild & Alec Sulkin), produced, and stars in the western comedy that features him as a cowardly sheep farmer who loses his girlfriend (Amanda Seyfried) after he chickens out of a gunfight. When a new girl (Charlize Theron) arrives to town, she helps Albert find the courage that he needs. They soon fall in love, but this becomes a problem when her outlaw husband (Liam Neeson) comes to town looking for revenge.
The red band trailer doesn’t hold back in any way, showcasing MacFarlane’s typical blend of humor. The western time period gives MacFarlane plenty of stuff to work with. I gotta say, it does look like a hilarious bit of fun (The Mila Kunis line is straight gold). In addition to MacFarlane, Theron, Seyfried and Neeson, the film also features Sarah Silverman, Giovanni Ribisi, and Neil Patrick Harris. A really strange cast, but definitely a great one.
