Delorean were originally supposed to play at Webster Hall on October 23, but the show got postponed and then cancelled after the band’s “virtual kidnapping.”
They finally got to play the show last night, only it was at Music Hall of Williamsburg instead. No problem with me as it was a much more intimate setting to watch the Spanish dance-rock band do their thing. It was a sold out show, but it was one of the more comfortable ones that I’ve been to. There was a very chill atmosphere, which the band kept steady and consistent throughout the evening.
The band kept their crowd in constant good spirits, keeping everyone moving throughout the entirety of the set. They played a fair share of tracks from their most recent album Apar, as well as their 2010 breakthrough, Subiza. I saw them for the first time at SXSW last year and this show was a much better one for the band. The setting may have helped. I recommend seeing them in as tiny of a room as you can find them as their magic works a lot greater in a confined space.
Check out some photos from their set below.
