A few months ago we posted a trailer for The Double after its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. That trailer has since been removed, in favor of a new teaser trailer that Total Film premiered.
It’s the new film from director Richard Ayoade, a loose adaptation of Fyodor Dostoevsky’s novel that tells the tale of a man (Jesse Eisenberg) who suddenly sees the appearance of his own doppelganger. Naturally, he begins to lose his mind.
The film also stars Mia Wasikowska, Wallace Shawn as well as Noah Taylor and Yasmin Pagie, both who also starred in Ayoade’s directorial debut Submarine.
The Double looks super surreal and interesting. I can’t wait. It’s set for UK release from 4 April 2014. In The U.S. no release date has been announced, but Magnolia has recently picked the film up for U.S. distribution. So hang in there tight/
