The fact that Community has survived the wrath of NBC this long is truly amazing. It’s even more amazing that the show’s creator Dan Harmon has returned for season 5, after being “fired” and replaced by new showrunners David Guarascio and Moses Port, who just didn’t do the job.
Season 4 of Community wasn’t bad (it was definitely still better than most network tv shows), but it just wasn’t the same. Based on the insane trailer for season 5 that NBC released a couple of days ago, it looks like Community is back to its old, glorious, form. Welcome back Dan Harmon. Bring on the darkest timeline!
Season 5 of Community premieres January 2nd on NBC. Happy New Year, indeed.
