On Monday night Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin dropped into The Marlin Room at Webster Hall making their return to NYC for the first time since June.
Now with new album Fly By Wire having been released, the band played the new songs with more familiarity, providing their usual energetic set, as always. You’d be hard to find another band that puts as much enthusiasm and energy into their live shows.
This show was a special one as during the encore they did a cover of Blur’s “Song 2” inviting a great deal of friends on stage for the cover, including former band member John Cardwell. It was cool seeing John rock out with them again, giving us one last glimpse of the old band. It was quite a sight seeming him rock again along with Philip Dickey and the rest of SSLYBY.
I got a bunch of photos from the concert, check them all out below.
