The first poster for Wes Anderson’s next film, The Grand Budapest Hotel, was revealed today, exuding that familiar and quirky vibe we have all come to know and love. Set in 1920’s Hungary, the cast will be comprised mostly of Anderson veterans the likes of Willem Dafoe, Jeff Goldblum, Adrien Brody, Edward Norton, Tilda Swinton, Jason Schwartzman, Owen Wilson, Harvey Keitel, and (of course) Bill Murray. Joining the ranks are Ralph Fiennes in the main role, Tony Revolori, Jude Law, F. Murray Abraham, Saoirse Ronan, Tom Wilkinson, Mathieu Amalric, and Léa Seydoux.
Coming off the heels of the wildly successful Moonrise Kingdom (2012), I would expect more “handcrafted” sets, tracking shots, off-the-wall dialogue, and hype. Personally, every Anderson film feels like Christmas morning to me.
The film is due for 2014, and a trailer is set for release this Thursday, October 17th.
