Last Thursday Chad Valley & Ski Lodge got together for a bill at Mercury Lounge. Sky Lodge played the jangly indie pop off their debut album Big Heart. The band continues to improve on every performance that I see them, with this being even greater than the last time I saw them at 285 Kent.
Chad Valley entertained us with an electronic wonder of jams backed by one female vocalist that enhanced his show without taking away from his performance. The highlight of the show was my favorite track of his, the wondrous “Shell Suite.”
