Hey guys,
You may have noticed we’ve gone quiet over the last week. Another site, which I will not name (why send them any traffic?), sent us a c&d saying our name was too close to theirs. It’s a shame as we are a new, bright eyed, film blog, just sharing our love for film.
So as of today, we are now known as Monday Morning Matinee. We have been forced to adopt a new name and leave behind our old name, Filmtastic. But that’s just the business for you. We will just take it as a compliment that they saw us worthy enough to send a c&d.
Ironically, before Filmtastic, I planned to name the blog Monday Morning Matinee. It was a name that just came to me one day and I liked the way it sounds. Plus we get to name our link mmm film. Yummy. So maybe it was fate that we went back to this name. It was just meant to be.
At the end of the day, a name is just a name. All that matters is the content. We will continue to push top quality content out, at an even fiercer pace than ever before. If you liked what we were doing before, just get ready. We’re more motivated and determined than ever before. Big things are on the way.
