Can you imagine being a 13-year-old and watching your own mother get arrested, leaving you to not only fend for yourself, but to watch over a 9-year-old boy who is in the same situation as you? This is the plot of The The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete, the new film from director George Tillman Jr.
The film is headed by two young actors played by Skylan Brooks and Ethan Dizon. Jennifer Hudson also stars alongside Jeffrey Wright, Anthony Mackie, Jordin Sparks, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.
It looks promising enough of a watch if for nothing else than to see how these two young actors perform. It comes out on October 11. Check out the trailer below.
