Would you be interested in a film starring Parks and Recreation’s Adam Scott, that also features Richard Jenkins, Catherine O’Hara, Clark Duke, Jessica Alba, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jane Lynch, and Amy Poehler? If so, you’re in luck. It’s coming soon.
This film is called A.C.O.D., which stands for adult children of divorce. Scott stars as Carter, a grown man who survived just fine with his parents bitter 15-year divorce. However, with his brother Trey (Clark Duke) now getting married, Carter needs to bring his parents together to the wedding (along with their new partners). Get this, Amy Poehler plays the new love interest of Clark’s father. It will be truly odd to see Ben and Leslie facing off like this for us Park and Recreation fans.
It’s directed by first time director Stu Zicherman, who co-wrote it as well with Ben Karlin. It looks like it finds a way to be both humorous and sincere. The cast is astonishing as well. A.C.O.D. has a ton of potential. As a fellow A.C.O.D. myself, I can’t wait to check it out when its released on October 4.
