After just releasing Silver Linings Playbook last year, director David O. Russell is already back with his newest feature, American Hustle. The film will reunite him with his Silver Lining Playbook stars Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, and Robert DeNiro as well as his stars from The Fighter, Christian Bale & Amy Adams. The film also features Jeremy Renner, Louis C.K., Michael Pena, and Elisabeth Rohm. Quite a cast.
American Hustle tells the tale of the Abscam operation, a con artist and his partner, who were forced to work with a federal agent in order to turn the tables on other con artists, mobsters and politicians. With the direction of O’Russell and a cast like that, Americna Hustle is a sure bet to be a major contender come Oscar season.
It will open on a limited run on December 13, with a wide release on December 25.
