Ready or not, another movie adaptation of William Shakespeare’s great tragedy Romeo & Juliet is on its way. Carlo Carlei is directing, while Downton Abbey writer Julian Fellowes adapted the story for this version. It stars True Grit’s Hailee Steinfeld as Juliet, and Douglas Booth as Romeo. It also features Paul Giamatt, Damian Lewis, Ed Westwick, and Stellan Skargard.
The cast is certainly rock solid all around, but I’m not sold on this one. I guess we will see. Romeo & Juliet comes out on October 11. Here’s the trailer provided by MTV:
