47 Ronin is a new fantasy action film that shows an outcasted enslaved man named Kai (Keanu Reeves) who joined a group of samarium known as Ronin, who seek out a dangerous journey in order to avenge their master who was killed by Lord Kira.
It looks like a hybrid of a samurai movie with fantasy, with some interesting casting of Reeves as a Ronin. Not sure how this one will turn out honestly, but it’s release date on Christmas Day signals that Universal Pictures believes in it.
