The first teaser trailer for ‘Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues’ came out in May. It definitely just teased. It didn’t show any actual footage from the film, which kept us impatiently awaiting the first real trailer. Tonight they rewarded all us night owls with the release of the new trailer. I’ll let you know that it’s a total riot.
We are thrown back into their wacky world, only this time Ron Burgundy and his team are thrown into the 80s and about to join the Global News Network: a 24 hour news channel. God only knows what is going to unfold there. The trailer shows a lot of funny clips without giving me the feeling that they’re giving the best jokes away. It’s good to see Will Ferrell and the rest of the gang back in character, and we see some quick footage of new characters played by Kristen Wiig, Meagan Good, James Marsden, and Dylan Baker.
I laughed hard throughout the trailer, especially with that last scene. December 20 can’t come soon enough. Enjoy the trailer below.
