Field Mouse live reminded me a lot of Best Coast. Not only cause of the female/male partnership, but because Field Mouse have that guitar garage fuzz sound that Best Coast have made a living out of. They were heavy on riffs, as well as the melodies. Definitely a dreamy quality about their music, as we discovered on their single, “You Guys Are Gonna Wake Up My Mom”.
It wasn’t a perfect set, I think these guys still have some time to improve their live show – but I definitely left pleased.
